im with you.

I didnt really have an option with any other native cockpits being that it's a 4 engine bird. I cant wait until the Dash7 (SWS/Pilots) is released

Thank you - Its very nice, that you made a new version of it but I wish there would be a better fitting cockpit one day? À 747 cockpit scared me to use it eben that is better than nothing. But I remember that there were a lot of freeware cockpit designers in FS9.1 / FSX times , also programs , that alowed to alter cockpits - but I can imagine that its more complex in FS2020?

I suspect we'll have to wait a while before that sort of thing is available. In FSX (and previous iterations of MSFS) the main issue was for people to learn 3D modelling.

Now, the main issue is learning how to program the gauges and json layouts that propogate the systems into the aircraft. Those can take months of hard work, and for these freeware aircraft, the only templates available are from the Asobo/MS stable of aircraft already in use, and even those are limited to certain ones as others are locked - indeed I have around ten really good aircraft that are now useless after SU4-6 gradually broke more and more of the FSX style cockpits used and we ended up not even able to run the engines (Capt 22 DASH 8 or the Canadian Sim's CRJ 700for example).

The other issue seems to be that many makers of models are grouping together and, with the promise of money, these groups have broken apart (most notably Project Mega Pack) - it seems the community spirit is a little hurt at the moment.

After seeing Dave Garwood releasing a new aircraft, and with other collaborations growing in strength of numbers, things are finally starting to look up again!

Thanks for sharing with our community your effort! I m trying to learn a little about it. I like 787-800, the shorter 787 version on Asobo's 787X cockpit. The Cessna Caravan C208, the shorter version, on Asobo's Cessna C208b Grand Caravan cockpit. Rikoooo has those birds. Do you have discord, or a group? I love general and regional aviation, the base! Your bird is BEAUTIFULL, and WE can fly it on its own way on MSFS. Thank you!!! Stay passionate!

all modded planes need fixed at current moment there cockpits are messed with with black and pink and this slams against the gorund randomly since recent update and i love the sound of it

It's an ok looking model from the outside and I love the type of aircraft. I wish there were more aircraft of this type.

The 747 cockpit and systems though 😞....buggy and not the best match here.

Same for me as well, goes from 145kt to like 850-1000 lol. Still, really nice to have this as a starting point in MSFS2020!

Cant do it mate I tried with the Just Flight FSX Comet using Visual Studio and then Planeconvertor with no success, though someone on Steam forum claims to have done it but wont let anyone have the files cos of Just flight copywrite

Hey thanks for you make this aircraft

but someting is bugged the landings lights and the taxing lights dont work and when you slow down the engine or turn off the engine some instrument turn off.

You need to fix that

If you start a flight from a parking, the engines are always running, which they are not for other aircrafts! Is this normal?

I have big respect for all develloper but I can't fly a 4 Engine (Turbo)Propeller aircraft with a B747 cockpit. That has absolutely nothing to to with reality even when it's just a game. What about creating own cockpits like it it was usual in FS2004-FSX times?! Are there no cockpit creation tools on the market? Is the SDK still not published. Sorry , I like to be fair and thankful but how I can rate f.e. a Dash 7 or ATR 72 with 4 or 5 stars if it is only flyable with an CRJ or B747 Cockpit which is not even a propeller plane. I know the ATR Community mod which has an Beech cockpit that fit at least the funktion of an propeller-turbo aircraft. I see that its a nice job to convert FSX planes to FS2020 planes but without a fitting cockpit it is useless work in my opinion.

as he explained below his choosing was due to the fact that the B747 was the only cockpit with 4 engines, but I completely agree with you, it's hilarious but then again he's doing better than what I can do.

The problem with a custom cockpit is that it takes months or years to make those. He could try to use som of the systems on the B747 and add other cockpit textures and instruments beside it, it would take less time then a custom one, although that'd still be difficult.

The intention of this package is to add to the list of aircraft available.

Some of us in this community appreciate the OPTION of being able to add to the available aircraft menu, while at the same time, NOT having to spend hard earned cash that could be used elsewhere. Again, downloading and installing this package is OPTIONAL, and maybe not for everyone.

If you don't like this package, remove it from your system, I promise you I wont be offended in any way.

You are completely underestimating the complication and difficulty of making a fully functional cockpit. It is completely ridiculous of you to expect a fully functioning cockpit from a FREE mod.

I really have very much respect for you work and the plane itself looks fantastic. That why Ive tried it. The same thinkwhen I look at the dash 8 q400. I really love to fly this planes in FS2004, BUT they had simple but hand made cockpits available for free. But I understand, that it seems to be much harder to build one for FS2020. I ve tried the ATR 72 community which works with the Beech Cockpit , that makes a little more sence because its to handle like a turbo prob. The dash 8 do not work since the latest sim update or befor - even it looks nice, but its not flyable... My conclusion is to delete the dash 7 and 6 and keep the ATR 72 community that at least works like a turbo prob. By the way, I would pay money for your plane if it would be with a cockpit that fits the plane.

My goal is to provide a product for those who don't have the funds for expensive addons.

In return, my wish, is that they enjoy the product, and most of all have fun.

Give it some time. I don't work with a team of developers...

You could spare yourself a lot of grief and just uninstall it, if you are so dissatisfied

If your looking for instant gratification, maybe you should purchase your addons.

Sorry for being a little impatient and demanding. I appreciate your work, especially because it is freeware. Maybe I'm a little disappointed because I loved flying the Dash 7 or 8 in FS2004. And I think it's great that you have the Dash 7 here! I understand your concern to make it freely available. But it's a compromise. Everyone has to know for themselves whether it is reasonable to fly with it. I hope I could clarify that. But I also hope that there will soon be tools to easily create cockpits yourself. But I am not disappointed or worry too much. However, freeware should at least work and not lead to problems in the simulator. In this respect, it does matter what quality it is, even with freeware. Even if it is at your own risk 😉 But I give 4 Stars for a nice model....And I have flown it now , and yes, it#s possible. 😊
