This is the one that started all of the Water Fixes.
Starting with changes to World Update 6 (and perhaps global warming leading to rise in sea levels 😁), water levels have seemingly risen throughout the game, leaving many previously visible features now underwater. (SU5 did exhibit some of the same issues, but not to the extent seen in World Update 6.) This mod applies exclusion polygons to areas covered in water in order to uncover them. It also removes erroneously placed trees around water areas.
Beginning with V1.4, I am removing photogrammetric trees and replacing them with 3d assets in certain areas.
I initially created this for my own use, but thought I’d share for those who care.
This mod fixes the following issues to the default scenery located in Orange County, California, USA.

The Huntington Beach pier was still messed up, I think I saw some palm trees in parking lots. Not sure if its still compatible with the latest version, or if something else is conflicting, but seal beach pier and Huntington were not fixed.

With SU12, all Water Fixes are failing to exclude water. Waiting for a fix from MS/Asobo.

Huge upgrade over stock Orange County. Would it possible if you fixed night buildings in downtown Irvine, Irvine Spectrum, and buildings by KSNA?

Is this compatible with the latest world USA update?

Yes, it is. I started this version months ago, decided to add the finishing touches under World Update X.

Thank you for sharing this addon. I like to fly VFR from KSNA and around Orange County and right away I could see the improvements. Newport harbor looks so much better and the Santa Ana river too.
From your notes, you have improved so many other areas too which I'm sure I will enjoy as well.

This doesn’t remove all of the artificial trees like the Southern California water and foliage does it?
With these I mainly focused on water fixes. I’m not as aggressive with removing trees without replacing them, as I don’t like what’s underneath (ugly polygons that need to be fixed individually). I only remove them from the obvious places where they don’t belong.
But, a new version will bring some tree fixes to Newport, Balboa, and Huntington (it’s already apparent in two of my pics, I just never released it).

This looks fantastic! Do you know if it will interfere with this addon?

Thank you!

I’ve been looking at his descriptions and wish I could tell you for sure. I don’t see that he has touched upon this area of coverage. My mod is just ‘unhiding’ land or objects that are underwater. Try it and see if it’s ok. If you don’t like it, uninstall it.

I was going to ask if you could do a Long Beach pack too, as I fly in and out of Torrance (KTOA) a lot, due to one of my Air Hauler 2 bases being there.
However, its more the trees growing on the cargo vessels that gets me, which of course has nothing to do with the water levels. 😀

LA County is next! I just finished SD County, and this version of OC.
Like the other two counties, I also plan on fixing the waterlines and some of randomly growing trees. Starting with Long Beach harbor, it is a pain!

Hi, could you raise the sea level by 50 feet...just to get my house on the coast so its value goes up. thank you !
before long maybe Asobo will have this paramatised so we uses can change the sea levels. Seems odd how there are still many roads under water after all this "AI". Simple rule - if its a road, dont put its altitude below the water its crossing.

Yeah, something really got messed up with this last World Update version, where it doesn't put bridges and roads ABOVE water (rivers, etc). Either that, or they did a mass redraw of all oceans, rivers, lakes, etc. without regard to actual shorelines, etc.
So, I'm having to go to each point to exclude the water through a defined polygon.
If you'd like, I can put a pool in your back yard :)

Wow, so you drained the Ocean a few feet, that must have been a big drain plug!! This is awesome, proves it can be done now if MS/Asobo could learn from you and apply this globally. Great job and Thank You

My wife is going to LOVE this since Newport Beach is her favorite place! Now if I can just get her to appreciate the simulation experience.

Maybe you should have her step into your cockpit ;)

Thank you Mistercoffee1 for doing justice to the number of boats docked in Newport.

Some of those little guys were hard to find! I’m glad someone appreciates it!
There are more remaining, I’ll add them in the next version.
