The IHFF opearate a single Boeing Stearman. It was build in the U.S.A. on 1st May 1943 and was powered by a Lycoming R680-17-B4E radial engine. It was used by the United States Navy.

In 1981 the aircraft was dismantled and shipped to the UK, where it was rebuilt. It had over 1,500 flying hours at that point. After some time in the UK, the aircraft was sold to Cathal Ryan (RIP) in Ireland. It was painted with the Spirit of Tipperary logo.

It was then entered on the Irish civil register as EI-HFD. It still carries the Spirit of Tipperary markings. It can be seen performing at many air shows and events throughout Ireland, usually accompanied by some or all of the IHFF's Chipmunks.
