British Midland / Into the Blue Simulations:
British Midland was a UK-based carrier, founded in 1964; Midland operated under various guises over the years, finishing up operations as British Midland International or bmi in 2012. Throughout its history, the airline operated a whole host of different aircraft, including many British classics and at its peak operated some 30 aircraft, primarily from its London Heathrow and East Midlands bases. British Midland served destinations all over Europe and indeed further afield, at one point holding some 13% of all takeoff and landing slots out of London Heathrow. Sadly, bmi ceased trading in October of 2012 and the last vestige of the airline "Flybmi" was closed down just a couple of years ago in 2019.
I have commissioned this beautiful BD livery for the default Asobo Douglas DC-3, created masterfully by Jamespejam (a big thank you to him!). This airframe / registration was particularly special, as its prior owner was none other than Field Marshal Bernard Montgomery! Hopefully, a few of you will join me in getting Midland back in the skies once again!
Enjoy! : )

Thank you so much for the trust! It was an awesome challenge and a honour to bring to the virtual world such an historic bird! Up the Dakotas!

Wonderful, a zillion thanks. I love collecting paints of British operators of the DC 3, thus far though in 30+ years of FS I've never come across the classic Air Anglia scheme. If you have it in mind to create another then please consider adding Air Anglia to the list. This would go rather nicely with the upcoming Air Anglia Fokker 28 😀. Again, many thanks.

Thank you very much, Paul! I'm very happy to hear that you've added Midland to your virtual collection : )
I'm afraid that it is only British Midland liveries I have an interest in creating, but there are plenty of enthusiastic repainters here on Flightsim.to - I'm sure one of them would be willing to help.
Thanks again and all the best!
