This folder contains a repaint for the Beechcraft D17 Staggerwing for MSFS by Carenado, in the colors of Beech D17 Staggerwing NC20778 (c/n 357), the Staggerwing used in 1940-41 by the U.S.Antarctic Service during their expedition to the Antarctic continent, where it performed perfectly, even under the most severe conditions. More on this aircraft while with the USAS can be read here: http://www.joeld.net/snowcruiser/wings_feb_1980.html. After its return from Antactica, it was sold to Conellan Airways in Australia, and registered VH-AFP (see my other repaint). Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the textures by Carenado.

Great recreation of an aircraft with a particularly cool history!
Alas, the article linked now gives a 404. 😞
