Love the HUD in the 787-10, but hated that it was so foggy you couldn't see through it in daylight. This mod gets rid of the fog. You can now see your terrain and approach, plus the display fonts look a little more crisp. Still a similar tint, but not quite so opaque. Makes landing the 787-10 a lot more enjoyable when using the HUD.
To use this, go into the 787-10 Texture folder and rename the existing file to keep it in case you wish to revert back (I add "Original" in front of the existing). Then just copy and paste this file into the folder.

The 787 hud update broke this mod. Can you help?

I'll check into it this morning, but there is likely you will just have to overwrite the file again.

Not sure but may work if the file is the same. I would definitely keep a backup copy of the original though.

Thanks - it definitely makes a difference if you are using the HUD during daylight conditions. I really hated that I couldn't see through it. Sort of defeated the purpose of a HUD, which exists basically to give you the info you need without the need to look away from your approach.

How to download this?
NovaSDF author
You download it with the link here. Then navigate to the aircraft folder (The easy way to find it is to go to your community folder then back up to "packages" - then select "Official" then "OneStore" then "asobo-aircraft-b787-10" then "SimObjects" the "Airplanes", then "Asobo-B787-10 and finally "TEXTURE") Just overwrite the HUD file with the one you downloaded. Your HUD glass should no longer be cloudy.
The file structure should be similar if you are playing the Steam version.

anyway u could add this to the heavy division mod directly submit a PR?

Just looked at the Heavy mod. The version I downloaded off Github (B78XH-main) uses the same file, so overwriting that in the heavy mod TEXTURE should do the same thing. In the version of Heavy I installed with the downloader on her to the Community folder (B78Xh) the Texture file only overwrites 3 different textures, not the HUD, so I'm guessing that version of Heavy is using the HUD texture from the original file folder of the stock aircraft. So overwriting that file should make it work with that version of Heavy also.
I tried Heavy, but there were just some things I didn't like about it. I got a funny pinkish bezel on the MCDU, and I hate always losing the terrain radar which I like to have on an unfamiliar approach with low visibility. May give it another try later on and see if I can overwrite the lower pedestal texture with the original.
Let me know if it works. But just make sure you overwrite the HUD glass texture in both the original and Heavy (if applicable.)
