Japan Airlines' JA329J "JAL JOMON Jet (Jomon Jet)" is flying as a special painted machine in July 2021 to commemorate the registration of the "Jomon Archaeological Sites in Hokkaido and North Tohoku" as a World Cultural Heritage site.
The specially painted design includes the congratulatory message "Congratulations! Registered as a World Heritage Site / -Jomon Ruins in Hokkaido and Northern Tohoku-" across the window below the "JAPAN AIRLINES" logo. On the rear part of the fuselage behind the main wings, there are Jomon pottery, jade balls, clay figurines, and other illustrations drawn by children from Aomori Prefecture that express the Jomon archaeological sites. They fly as domestic in Japan.
