Douglas DC-3 registered NC-24320 was built in 1944, but the end of WWII saw her go to Johnson Flying Service Inc, and after crashing on approach to Pittsburgh-Allegheny County Airport, PA (AGC/KAGC), was repaired, and put into service fighting fires. She changed hands several times between 1975 and 2002, until she finally ended up with the Museum of Mountain Flying, Missoula, Montana. After restoration in 2019, she flew to Duxford, England, to take part in a recreation of the D-Day flight across the English Channel to Normandy, for which she was named "Miss Montana".
This livery is based on her current livery, as used in the recreation flight. It is based on photos, so is not 100% accurate, but I tried to get it as close as possible. Even though the actual "Miss Montana" has a classic steam gauge cockpit, I have included a retrofit version as well.
I hope you like it!
