Eggemoen Airfield (ENEG) is an uncontrolled regional airfield located 22 NM west of Oslo Lufthavn Gardermoen (ENGM). The airspace is uncontrolled, but the Oslo TMA starts at 3000 ft and the circuit altitude at Eggemoen is 1800 ft. You are even closer to Oslo TMA if you are planning on doing maneuvers in the local traning area over Tyrifjorden to the south.
The airfield was originally constructed as a military airfield during WWII but it was released for sale in 2004. If you look inside the old guardhouse you might find some history still remaining.
The airport is serving Østnes helicopters, which is a company selling Airbus helicopters. Airlift, which is a helicopter service company. It is also the home base of the GA club Ringerikes Motorflyklubb.
Eggemoen is a great place to start your GA flight around the Oslo area. Gardermoen (ENGM) and Torp (ENTO) is just a quick flight away if you want to practice those towered airports out of this uncontrolled one.
The airport includes custom buildings and objects all included in this package.
