This is an update to the blank default version of the Thomas P. Stafford Airport in Weatherford OK,. I have created all handcrafted building to match as close as possible to what is currently at the airport. Currently I was unable to find the correct version of the airplane that are on display at the building entrance, but will work on it in future versions.
The Thomas P. Stafford Airport, located 2 miles northeast of Weatherford, Oklahoma, is a city-owned public-use airport that serves the local community. Named after NASA astronaut and Weatherford native Thomas P. Stafford, the airport covers an area of 167 acres and has an elevation of 1,605 feet above mean sea level.
The airport has one concrete runway designated 17/35, measuring 5,100 feet by 75 feet.It offers various services, including full-service fueling, courtesy cars, flight instruction, hangar rentals, aircraft maintenance, avionics, and a comfortable pilot's lounge.
The Stafford Air & Space Museum, also named after Thomas P. Stafford, is located at the airport and exhibits the Gemini 6A space capsule flown by Stafford and Wally Schirra in 1965, as well as the spacesuit Stafford wore during his 1969 Apollo 10 Moon mission. If you are every going through Weatherford be sure to take the time to visit the museum and I have been there it's pretty amazing all the items they have on display.
